Los Muertos Beach

Under 5 minutes from all of our properties, Los Muertos Beach offers sand and surf within easy reach.  Home to a variety of beach cafes and clubs, you can spend a lazy afternoon under an umbrella with food and beverage service brought to you!

We're partial to Ritmos Beach Club and Swell Beach Bar.  Both have wonderful employees who serve good food and drinks under the umbrellas.

The Malecon

This boardwalk area is the place to be any time of day, but especially as the sun goes down.  Ringed by shops, clubs and restaurants, with statues at the end of each street, it's a stroll along the water enjoyed by tourists and locals alike.  Vendors run the gamut from artistic to food to performance artists you can pose with (remember they're there for tips!)

Coming from the airport, chances are your ride brought you by the Malecon, the great view of the water you enjoyed on your way to the property.

Hacienda San Angel and The Iguana

For the movie fan, two special restaurants find themselves nestled in properties with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor history.

The Hacienda San Angel is set right above Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Church, an impressive building by itself, the main building bought by Richard Burton for his wife Susan in 1977. Around the corner, The Iguana (and adjacent tequila bar) is housed in the home given to Elizabeth Taylor, by Richard Burton, for her 32nd birthday.  Although Burton and Taylor were officially done before the '77 purchase, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed being a neighbor.........*ahem*

Unique in their grounds and decor, for a special occasion and great food, you'd do well to enjoy these to restaurants across the Rio Cuale.  Set up on the side of the hill, both have great views and entertainment to go with a dinner you will remember (reservations recommended)

Yelapa

From an indigenous saying meaning "where two rivers meet the sea", Yelapa is a beautiful remote fishing and beach town on the southern coast of Banderas Bay.  Accessible by boat, the easies access is via water taxi from various location around Puerto Vallarta.

Vallarta Botanical Gardens

Just south of town, an oasis awaits at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Known for a variety of orchids and native Mexican plants, this peaceful retreat includes hiking trails, swimming in crystal pools, and even wedding facilities.  You can't go wrong if you just treat yourself to lunch at the fantastic restaurant, browse the shop, and enjoy the breeze on the deck, but there is more to enjoy here than you probably will in a day.
